Tammy Locke, star of TV’s “The Monroes”
Tammy Locke is best known for her starring role as Amy Monroe in the 1960′s western series, The Monroes, where she played alongside the talented Barbara Hershey and Ben Johnson. The Monroes was a short-run Western television series which ran on ABC during the 1966-67 television season. it dramatized the story of five orphans trying to survive as a family on the wild frontier, in the area now known as Grand Teton National Park near Jackson, in Northwestern Wyoming.
However, her accolades don’t stop there. She made numerous guest appearances including Alcoa Premiere, she played the role of Sally Laurents on “The Voice of Charlie Pont,” with Robert Redford, Bill Bixby and Diana Hyland. In 1966, she appeared in the unaired TV pilot for Meet Me in St. Louis, which starred Celeste Holm and Shelley Fabares. In 1965, she played Ann-Margaret’s daughter, Kathy, in the movie, Once A Thief. In 1964, she appeared in Naked Kiss, with Constance Towers and Michael Dante. Tammy Locke was among the celebrity guests at the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention, signing autographs for fans and posing for photos.
